As IT Solution Team Manager Manufacturing you are responsible to fulfill new IT Demand forthcoming from the clients manufacturing sites. You lead a group of architects, system specialists and project managers and play a key role in shaping the clients future in the manufacturing domain. Your focus areas are Production Planning, Work Preparation, Manufacturing Execution and Configuration Management.
You have a clear vision on and drive target architecture in these domains and ensure that business and IT architecture are aligned to deliver maximum value.
You manage the eco-system of IT service providers and stay abreast of latest technology and application developments.
Job Description
- Drive business and IT strategy alignment into target architecture and project roadmaps for manufacturing processes and related IT solutions.
- Manage triple constraint – Time, Budget and Scope – of your project portfolio and ensure accurate, timely project status reporting on critical path, key issues, risks and remediation actions. Take action with your key stakeholders to address and resolve issues to reach delivery as planned.
- Take ownership in complex projects that have impact across the client. Take ownership for and have in depth understanding of key project content, critical path and project dependencies.
- Foster strong alignment between business and IT in general and key project stakeholders in specific.
- Perform pro-active stakeholder management, create buy-in and drive change management as required.
- Generate continuous improvement proposals that focus on system performance, availability and process efficiency for end-users.
- Manage relationship with major software suppliers and participate in a governance setup to drive their product roadmaps;
- Keep abreast of the latest technology and application developments.
- Manage the solution team and secure an environment for personal development and growth for your team members. IT innovation is a cornerstone of competence development of the team.
- Control financial budget and forecasting.
Education/knowledge
- Master degree in field of Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or IT;
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes on strategic, tactical and operational level, as well how these processes are supported with SAP tooling (PP, PS, MM, PM, QM, ME/MII/PCo) and the international standards that support these processes like ISA95 / ISA88;
- Good knowledge and understanding of configuration management processes, as well how these processes are supported with SAP tooling (SAP-PLM) and the international standards that support these processes like CMII;
- Project management knowledge such as PMBOK, PRINCE II, LEAN and/or AGILE SCRUM;
- Knowledge of IT Service Management practices (e.g. ITIL);
Experience
- Track record in aligning business and IT strategy into target architecture and project roadmap.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and configuration management processes in Operations environment in a high tech and discrete industry.
- Experience with and knowledge of IT Manufacturing & Configuration Management solutions.
- 10+ years of experience in IT integration projects and/or software development projects in complex high tech businessenvironment.
- Experience in configuration and implementation of technical solutions including business process (re)design, testing, and production support.
- Proven track record in leading a team of professionals.
