For our customer, Damen Shipyards, we are searching International naval Project Managers with expeirence in Shipbuilding you coordinate and assume responsibility, within your field of expertise (mechanical engineering or shipbuilding), for the completeness of the final design and the production of Engineering Packages. You will lead multiple (senior) Engineers, assistant Project Managers Engineering and you are the first point of contact for Engineering partners.
– A technically oriented Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar
– Shipbuilding experience
– At least 5 years of relevant international work experience;
– A good command of the English language;
– Experience with managing a group of Engineers;
– Good communication skills.
– The execution of projects including Design Check, Basic and Detail Engineering and Production Support
– Prepare lists of drawings, plans and estimates for the engineering work of a complex project or multiple projects within the subgroup
– Supervise and assess Assistant Project Managers Engineering, Lead / Sr. Engineers and indirectly manage Engineers and trainees.
– Assess input from own employees, but also suppliers and co-creators
– Consider and keep in mind the supply chain (cost, impact, etc.)
