Around 20 Front-end Developers work at Mirabeau. They are all among the best in their field. Of course, junior Developers work at a different level than seasoned senior Developers. Our people organise their own code reviews and ‘Front-end Development Days’. One of our seniors always leads the code reviews. This is how we train our people. Front-end Development Days are moments to share knowledge and socialise. As our newest Front-end Developer, you will become part of this group and will experience the dynamics of it. If you’re good enough, and ambitious enough, you’ll have an amazing experience. Guaranteed!

What is the job all about?
In addition to being a part of the front-end team, your daily work will include being part of a client team. This team (which changes regularly) will be made up of different specialists: Designers, Software Engineers, Data Specialists, etc. We believe that the different disciplines should work in close collaboration, so we rely heavily on an agile team structure (scrum).

Your emphasis will be on collaboration and utilising each other’s experience within the team. You will represent Front-end Development. You will do it with passion, and with respect for the profession and the expertise of your colleagues. When professional disagreements occur (and they will), you will not shy away from the confrontation, but will always seek cooperation. You will support collaboration with a common goal: to deliver top-quality work.

What do we expect?
You likely already know the common list of requirements for a vacancy like this: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and so on. So we don’t need to list those here. But we think it’s important to mention here that demonstrable experience with Javascript is of utmost importance to us (native, vanilla…you know, the pure stuff).

We also think it’s important that you are usually in a good mood when you arrive at work. And certainly that you’re inquisitive. No matter how long you’ve been in the business, you should still be eager to learn more. Moreover, if you’re good at table football (foosball), that’s certainly an advantage.

One more thing: Mirabeau works for clients throughout the Netherlands, so you should be prepared to occasionally travel a bit. Incidentally, Mirabeau’s client list outside of the Netherlands is growing, too. If you’re interested, there might even be a place for you to work in Hong Kong for a few weeks.

Everything we do has a direct impact on a large majority of Dutch Internet users. So we always seek the best colleagues!

Our people are important to us. Without them, Mirabeau could never have grown to become the largest full-service Internet agency in the country. We value long-term relationships, both with our colleagues and our clients. We offer competitive employment packages and we ensure a pleasant atmosphere in which we balance work with relaxation.
