The candidate must be able to articulate data and reporting requirements to both technical experts and to a range of data consumers including novices who are new to looking at data to improve our corporate learning offer. The candidate will use strong consulting skills to identify the goals behind data requests and the technical capabilities of our learning management system, to then propose solutions that most closely align the requirements to the technical capabilities capabilities.
The person will also advise on the use of data and analytics to ensure that projects lead to efficacy, increased productivity, and decreased institutional costs.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Conduct needs analysis sessions to identify the appropriate metrics both for managing the learning offer and for monitoring the effectiveness of the learning strategy.
- Simplify the analysis, storage, manipulation, retrieval and use of data from multiple information sources.
- Create compelling data visualizations and presentation decks to communicate findings.
- Advise on the configuration of the new learning management system to deliver the appropriate analytical data.
- Graduate degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in data analytics in a corporate environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Superior consultative skills with an ability to identify pain points and to ask guiding questions that lead to best practices for data analysis and actionable follow-up
- Familiarity with a learning management system is an advantage
- Expertise in at least one data analytics toolset such as R, SPSS, SAS, etc.
- SQL skills
- Ability to communicate complex data issues clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and the ability to communicate these concepts
- Create data visualizations, presentation decks
- Fluent in English
