For our customer in Brussels, we are urgently looking for an experienced GIS Developer.  Candidates can come from abroad and workpermit should be present.

Task and responsibilities:

  • Design and construction of Geographical Information Systems
  • Technical assistance for the use of GIS software
  • Implementation of geospatial analysis tools
  • Prototyping
  • Elaboration of test programs
  • Integration with other applications
  • Writing of technical documentation
  • Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
  • Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure that they conform to the requirements and methodology
  • Participation in meetings with the project teams
Profile:
  • Bachelor and Master degree
  • Minimum 6 years GIS experience and analysis and programming experience
  • Minimum a total of 6 years in one or more of the following GIS tools (Geoserver, GeoTools, JTS Topology Suite, PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, OpenLayers)
  • Experience with Relational Database Management Systems
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in web application development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
  • In depth knowledge of GIS software and tools
  • In-depth knowledge of relational database systems
  • In depth knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of geospatial data analysis
  • Good knowledge of programming languages
  • Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier web applications
  • Good knowledge of modelling tools (e.g. UML)
  • Technological dependency: Oracle RDBMS; Weblogic versions 11 and 12; JBoss 7; Postgres 9; Java, Java EE; SQL; WDSL, SOAP and XML standards; REST, JSON; HTML, CSS; AngularJS, Bootstrap, Less; OpenLayers 3; Geoserver; Maven
